[Anime Review] XXXHolic
XXXHolic
"Good anime, but need to have more strong story line" -bezoe
Kimihiro Watanuki is a young boy with a cursed gift. He has the ability to see evil spirits, and somehow they seem attracted to himself. One day he meets a misterious woman who names herself Yuuko. She claims to have the means to end his torment, but she never works for free, and she wouldn't help him until he works for her enough to pay for her services. Thus he starts to work in her shop and discovers that in that place, nothing is what it seems.
XXXHolic indeed have a pretty good story on each episode, but I still feel it need more. Even the main story has been set at the early episode, but I feel there's only a small continuation between each episodes. So even I enjoyed it, I hope the 2nd season is better (which I will watch after I review this one).
Character designs.. hm.. Long legs, hands, and torso. Its been a while for me to watch this kind of anime (that not humanoid proportion even though its still looks human.. u know what I mean right?). At first, I really hate how Watanuki over the top expression whenever he encountered something, but after like 15 episodes, I start to enjoy to see his expression. Mokona? well, I prefer white Mokona on the Magic Knight Rayearth more~. Yuuko? I like her a lot :). Domeki? well I like how his tone of responsing to other people, flat and funny I should say. Himawari-chan? I don't see anything special about her.
Background design not the best around, its look so classic and not really interesting.
I don't like the OP and ED music, except for one, which is the last episode instrumental (piano) ED.
Bottom Line: It's a very enjoyable anime for everyone, you will have a good laugh. But I don't think it will be memorable
Overall Rating: A--
Favorite Characters
#1. Yuuko Ichihara ( good fashion taste, and cool)
#2. Vespal Sprite ( a perfect wife-type character)

[News] New Grade announce
I will now make the New Grading official
There will be 2 types of A
one is regular A
and the new one is A
Explaination
A : It is for anime that is perfect in all aspects, and will guarantee enjoyable
A: It is for anime that is perfect in all aspects, and will guarantee enjoyable PLUS it is a memorable one.
So, basically they are both perfect in a sense, but whenever I gave it A, that means it is a very memorable anime in my opinion. Like it or not, that you to decide =)
Side note, in a future, I was thinking of changing all memorable anime into gold color (that may be include a A below rating as well.) but before I make announcement, there will be only A gold for now

[Anime Review] Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2
Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2
" The ending... totally beyond what I expected" - bezoe
It's been one year since the failure of the Black Rebellion and the supposed death of Zero. Britannia has assigned Area 11 a "correctional education" status, where Elevens are made an example of by brute force, to try to prevent any future uprisings and suppress rebellious thoughts. Unsuspecting high school student Lelouch, oblivious to his rebellious past as Zero, stumbles upon a scheme on his life and the life of a mysterious woman known as C.C., who reveals to him his forgotten purpose and his "true" self. Destroying his assailants and declaring himself Zero once again, Lelouch sets out to finish what he started.
Finally!, the uncertain ending from R1 has been unveiled in the R2. I will say the story of Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 is beyond awesome. From a just a mere student, to a become Zero, and finally reach his final ambition. A lot of drama and betrayal in this anime, plus a very great ending.
Character designs still great as the 1st series, but now even more greater because of the new cast. The Knigh of Round and also Rolo. C.C still got my vote though =)
Animation wise was top notch, the battle scene and the smoothness of the anime is 1st grade. Expression of all character also needs to be give thumbs up.
Music? I barelly pay too much attention for the ost of this 2nd, season. Not that is bad, it just because the story is too good, I skipped a lot of OP and ED in order to see the anime =p. But as far as I remember, the OP ost pretty good.
Bottom Line: It is a must watch anime. (It even made me invented a new rating system =D)
OVERALL RATING : A
(A gold rating will be applied not only this anime, but also all Anime that I think deserve it. More explaination will be on the news that I will post in the next couple days. Make sure to check the changing)
Favorite Characters
#1. C.C (I really get hooked to this character =D)
#2. Kallen Kozuki / Stadtfeld (Even more hotter this series)
#3. Viletta Nu (um.. Yummy?)
#4. Anya Alstreim (no explaination needed)
#5. Nunnally Lamperouge ( Nice Eyes O_O )<-- can't find image of Nunnally opening her eyes~
I really wish I am...
Lelouch Lamperouge (Yes, I have a very big ambition of conquering the world, probably from the era of Vegeta (DB) )

[Anime Review] Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion S1
Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion S1
"Instantly fall in love with the series from the beginning" -bezoe
After the invasion of Japan by the Brittannian Empire, the country is renamed to "Area 11". The young Lelouch, a Brittannian student living in Japan, accidentally gets caught up in a local terrorist attack against Brittannia, reuniting with his childhood friend Suzaku as well as meeting the mysterious girl C.C. Cornered in a life and death situation, Lelouch accepts a power C.C. offers to him, the ability to order anyone to do anything. Harboring a thirst for revenge against the Brittanian Empire for their actions against his family, Lelouch wages war against the Empire. Using his newfound power and tactical ability, Lelouch goes under the alias Zero in attempts to fulfill his childhood vow, to destroy Brittannia! - myanimelist
Story of Code Geass is one of the strong point beside the animation and the characters design. I like the story of the clash between Britannia and Rebel that lead by Zero, and the way that Zero command his rebel army to fight againts the Britannian. Not only that, I also like the back story of what is the purpose of Zero doing this beside destroying Britania. From start till the end of the season, I really got hooked up with this anime.
Character design, I like Clamp's character style (especially Magic Knight RayEarth) for Code Geass (Even though probably the character was waaay too skinny for a real human, but all of the character design looks superb). The Mecha design probably not the greatest, but its fit the purpose
Code Geass animation was really nice for a tv series. Its not choppy, and well made. The battle scene was really good and the special effect also pretty much "A" quality
I love the 1st OP ost, 1st ED, and 2nd ED for 1st season. I hope the 2nd season have a good music aswell (as I'm probably going to start watch the 2nd season this upcoming week)
Bottom Line: You love Mecha? then you definitely need to see this
Overall Rating: A- (The only reason I gave it A- because of the ending... its unfinished and I think it will carry to the 2nd season)
Favorite Characters:
#1. C.C (yum... Pizza)
#2. Kallen Kozuki / Stadtfeld (Tough Girl? hell yes!)
#3. Villetta Nu (look at those hair and eyes)
#4. Cécile Croomy (she is actually pretty cute)

[Anime Review] Pani Poni Dash!
Pani Poni Dash!
"Pani Poni Dash! What the......?"-bezoe
The 11 year old Miyamoto Rebecca becomes the new teacher of a classroom which is full of weirdos. Despite her cute looks she's a little beast and can be pretty sarcastic and offensive. The school is not safe anymore now that she's in charge of a class and her students, Himeko, Ichijou, Rei and a white rabbit who took a liking to Rebecca help her to rough up the school and the neighbour-class with its teacher "ojii-chan
It is really hard to say what is the main point of watching this anime. It probably the slowest anime that I've watched - beside Strawberry Panic. I can only manage to watch 2-3 ep per day the most and did not find it entertaining and only a few of the episodes that I found entertaining. Probably the main reason I didn't enjoy this because of the comedical reference that they use, either I felt it not funny, or I just dunno why I should laugh. At first I though this anime will be the same category as Azumanga, or Lucky Star, but I guess I was wrong.
Character designs probably is the positive side of this anime. I love a lot of character from this anime. Well, Becky of course is the best from all, but probably there will be more than 5 favorite characters from this anime.
Animation is not the best around, but I guess I need to give kudos for the drawing style, since they use alot of reference, there's like a tons of different expression, from old manga, old anime, movie referense, etc
Music is pretty good, I really like the intermission music, and some of the OP ost that I probably will post it to be MotW for the upcoming week
Bottom line: Eventhough its a cute anime, but I really hard to find it entertaining, so bottom line is ok to miss this anime.
Overall Rating: C
Favorite Characters
#1. Rebecca Miyamoto (Omega Cuteness)
#2. Rei Tachibana (rank 2-4 almost a tie - I really like her when she wearing chinese costume)
#3. Ichijo (most misterious character)
#4. Himeko Katagiri (Mahoooo)
#5. Akane Serizawa (I really like her in the ep where she became becky)
#6. Hibiki Watanuki (Interesting spy)
