[Anime Review] Zero No Tsukaima Princess No Rondo

Zero No Tsukaima Princess No Rondo
"A spectacular anime with unspectacular ending"-bezoe

Following Saito's heroic actions in the War with Albion in season two, Saito & Louise return to Tristain, only to have the runes which bind Saito & Louise disappear. Saito & Louise struggle with a relationship no longer defined as Master & Familiar, as they search for an Elf who has the power to restore the dead to life, and may hold the key to understanding Saito's loss of the Gandalfr's power.

This is a big disappointment for me, I mean, the anime actually have a pretty decent storyline and everything, but in the end.. its just freaking plain. I felt like some of the earlier episode they story is getting no where, and they cramped everything near the end.

Characters, I love the new additional Half-Elf Character to the list, she is superb, and also the Transformation of the Sylphid into a girl bring a new refreshment.

Animation part as usual nothing spectacular, its just like the last two season same as the OP and the ED.

Bottom line : I pretty much say the story line was pretty weak and a bit rush in the end. Still no big bos??

Overall Rating : A--

[Anime Review]Zero No Tsukaima Futatsuki No Kishi

zero no tsukaima futatsuki no kishi

"Better than the 1st season, more drama, more action and more..boobs"-bezoe

This sequel is a continuation of the previous season, not long after the war. Louise and Saito seemingly getting along now since she knows that he had given up his only chance to return to Tokyo for her. The story continues as Louise begins to use Void Magic from a mysterious secret book she had recieved from her majesty Henrietta, while a new villain has appeared in town causing trouble.

This will be a pretty short review since im goin to watch 3rd season after this

Story line was surprisingly better than the 1st one, more drama, more background story and we lost some important character in this anime.

Characters, new additional characters such as Louise Sisters and mother was pretty refreshing, plus that Julio guy. I like how they bring back Madamoiselle ( I like that guy.... er... girl... er.. guy?) At start of the season I almost fall in love with Princess but unfortunately her stubbornness really ticks me off. As usual, Tabitha still my favorite even her role's is not that big this season

OP and ED is better than 1st one but still won't be my favorite.

Favorite characters : Still the same as Season 1

Overall Rating : A-

[Anime Review] Zero No Tsukaima

Zero No Tsukaima

"Fun anime, good theme (its been a while since the last magical theme I watched)"-bezoe

Meet Louise, a budding magician. The students at the Tristein Academy call her "Zero Louise", due to her current record of zero successes with magic. In fact, her magic tends to go spectacularly wrong. Now, as an important test of her aptitude for magic, she must summon a familiar to be her servant. At this critical moment, she summons up all her magic and wishes for a familiar that is "devoted, beautiful and powerful", and gets... Hiraga Saito, an ordinary Japanese boy. It's difficult to say who is more surprised and dismayed, but the rules don't allow for second attempts. Louise is stuck with her strange familiar, and he with her.

Zero No Tsukaima, its a fun magical comedy themed anime. The story line it self actually pretty simple but its pretty enjoyable. Unfortunately the ending I feel it felt short, I hope the second season will be better in the story line (will watch second seasons after reviewing this)

Characters, Tabitha Orleans is my favorite character, the coolnest in this girl is beyond imagination (it reminds me of Yuki Nagato). Guiche Gramont I think also a pretty interesting guy, a 24/7 playboy. As for the main character (Louise) as usual... a irritated-loli girl (same like Toradora)

Animation wise is not awesome, I noticed some of the part they just draw it like they don't care about the quality (one thing that I really noticed is at the last episode where Saito riding a horse, the horse just look terrible)

Graphically, this anime was ok, its not the greatest and also its not the worst. a small things that I still wondering is probably about the water goddess... is it only me or its look like Kos-Mos from Xenosaga?

OP and ED both are so so, actually I prefer some of the bgm during the anime.

Bottomline : I enjoy the anime, its not a boring anime but I still can't find the awesomeness of Zero No Tsukaima yet.

Overall Rating : A--

Favorite Characters
#1. Tabitha Orleans (I found it 100% Yuki Nagato look-a-like)

#2. Siesta
(If I have a cosplay maid like this............)

#3. Kirche Zerbst (hot!)

#4. Louise Françoise de la Baume le Blanc de la Vallière (well, she's the main character after all.. so she needs to be on the list.... right?)

[Anime Review] Toradora

Toradora

"Good anime overall, but feel a bit too plain"-bezoe

Toradora!'s story begins with the male protagonist Ryūji Takasu who is frustrated at trying to look his best as he enters his second year of high school. Despite his gentle personality, his eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent, so he is utterly hopeless about his chances of getting a girlfriend anytime soon, and does not have many close friends either. After being greeted by his hungover mother in the morning, Ryūji goes to school and is happy to find that he gets to be in the same class with his best friend Yūsaku Kitamura and a girl he has a crush on, Minori Kushieda. However, it is then that he unexpectedly knocks into "the school's most dangerous animal of the highest risk level"—Taiga Aisaka—who just happens to also be in his class, and is a good friend of Minori.

Taiga has a negative attitude towards others and will not hesitate to snap at people. After meeting Ryūji, she takes an instant dislike of him. Taiga comes from a rich family, but she has moved out to live on her own due to family issues. She is coincidentally living in an apartment next to Ryūji's. When Ryūji discovers that Taiga has a crush on Yūsaku, and Taiga finds out about Ryūji's affections towards Minori, Ryūji suggests that they cooperate to win the objects of their affections. Taiga exploits the fact that Ryūji will do anything to get closer to Minori. She makes him her personal servant, getting him to do all her household chores (cooking and cleaning). Taiga spends a lot of her time over at his house, so much that she could almost be considered a member of his family. Since Ryūji spends a lot of time with Taiga, he has opened up to her world and to a side of her that most people do not see. The two also try to help each other improve the way people view them. However people they know from school start to become curious about their strange relationship and rumors begin to spread about them behind their backs.

This is some of the reasons why you want to watch Toradora: 1. Loli 2. Highschool love drama 3. "happy ending" with not a lot of surprising elements

I won't say Toradora is bad, but it just felt like I watching any other anime. The story was pretty plain, the character was ok, the mascot? was horrible (that parrot).

Lets get a bit into depth about the story, basically its about a boy who fall in love with a girl that he admire a lot, but unfortunately he wasn't a type that just say that word to the girl. With the help of his accomplish (Taiga) who also fall in love with the main character's friend. They both reach to an agreement to help each other to have their loves. However what they didn't realized was they actually can't lived without one another....... cliche... cliche....cliche...

Characteristics, is not wild enough for me. Taiga have that childish act (that suites her loli) but I don't dig on this one actually. Ami-chan probably is the strongest characteristic in this anime in my opinion. Minori reminded me of some other airhead character from other anime... and the guy? it was ok... nothing really special

Background illustration was pretty much outdated, I mean after I watch Clannad After Story, this one felt like it can be done 5 years ago (or more).

1st OP and ED music, I don't like it at all, probably too bubblegum pop for me, but that might be my personal taste. The 2nd OP and ED however, its gets a little bit better. I like the Christmast song though :)

Bottomline : Its just a pretty much regular highschool anime, however I did not find it boring. It's just the whole things feels too generic

Overall Rating: B--

Favorite Characters:

#1. Ami Kawashima (yep I love Ami more than Taiga, I know Ami is a type of girl that possesed that evil-angel look type, but atleast she is not childish)

#2. Taiga Aisaka (She is cute and loli, but she is irritating... I mean, if she is real life human, man I probably goin to smack her)

[Anime Review] Clannad After Story

Clannad After Story

"A very heart-touching anime, that might make you cry"-bezoe

A sequel to the recently wrapped anime based on the Key Clannad franchise. After Story is a path that opens in the original visual novel after all the other paths have been opened.
Life continues on for Tomoya. A few months have passed since he confessed his love to Nagisa. Now entering his graduating year, he continues to meet a variety of different people, expanding his own world in the process. As well, Tomoya and Nagisa's relationship begins to enter a level of intimacy unlike before. Through his relationship with Nagisa, and his various encounters, Tomoya begins to understand the meaning and importance of family. Unfortunately, as Tomoya and Nagisa begin their own family together, they are faced with many hardships and challenges along the way.

Finally I had the chance to watch the second season of this very good anime. In fact this is the first anime series that I reviewed after more than 1/2 years.

I can still remember vividly that the first season of Clannad was really heart touching, and I really looking foward for the 2nd season after I watch Clannad The Movie (which I think I didn't reviewed it yet)

And I will say, the time I spent to watched this anime was worthed! The story line was more focused on Nagisa and Tomoya this time with a little bit sidetrack. There's a lot of cry in this anime, either its a happy one or sad one. Also finally I understand the "girl who lived in the other world" story line in this season.

Visual of Clannad After Story probably is one of the best so far that I ever see in my anime watching life. I know the use a lot of real place reference but the illustration is just damn good, considering this is a tv series. There's a slightly improvement on the character side but not that much because the first season was near perfect.

OP and ED, probably weaker than the first season (damn that Dango song still stucked in my head after I guess a year or less). but I must say the OP song have a pretty catchy rhyme near the end that even that I skipped the music a lot , I still remember the rhyme.

Bottom line : This is a must watch anime, the storyline was interesting and also have a moral of the story in it. And actually make me rethink of my life in the future.

Overall Rating : A

Favorite Characters:

#1.Nagisa Furukawa (cause its all about her, I fall for her this time :) )

[Anime Review] Kanokon

Kanokon

"Feels too much of ecchi, but good things the story gets better on the 2nd half" -bezoe

Kanokon's story revolves around Kouta Oyamada, a young first-year high school student who moves from the country to the city and thus transfers to Kunpo High School. On his first day at his new school, a beautiful second-year female student named Chizuru Minamoto asks him to meet her alone in the music room. When he arrives, she reveals her that she is in fact a fox deity and from that day on the two hang out together. Nozomu is a first year female student at Kouta's school, she is in fact a wolf deity and in love with Kouta, and a rival of Chizuru for Kouta's affections.

First word... Very Ecchi (if you don't know the meaning of ecchi, then go look at wiki). From the first episode till last one, the ecchiness level never go down even a bit, which is good and bad actually. The good is, I love ecchi stuff, the bad is, too much ecchi actually becomes a distraction for the main plot. And thats what basically happened on the 1st half of the anime.
First 6 episodes I almost though this anime will be around C rating, but after episode 7, it actually gets alot better and continue to be a fun anime to watch until end.
Overall for story wise, its very simple but has a lot of entertaining moment.

The animation level was pretty good but not the best around, the character design a bit generic, but still got some strong personality. Overall for the graphic was ok. Side note: I hate the main guy character thoo.

Action scene was ok but not better than Inukami - thats the 1st thing that popped up in my mind.

OP and ED ost pretty good.

If you a type of person who really care about the story line and don't like ecchi stuff too much, then you can pass on this anime, however, if you like ecchi and can bear to stand 6 episodes of nothingness beside ecchi ( ep 1-6 storyline pretty weak in my opinion ), then I recommend you to watch it.

Overall Rating: B++
Favorite Characters:
#1. Nozomu Ezomori (cool girl always gets the 1st spot =D )

#2. Ren & Ai Nanao (Wish I can adopt them)

#3. Yukihana

#4. Tamamo

#5. Chizuru Minamoto

[Anime Review] Da Capo II Second Season

Da Capo II Second Season

"A tragic story with a beautiful ending... Superb" -bezoe

The story continues where it left off at season 1, but now we start to get to know the people we already know a little more in detail.

Actually a lot more detail for the story part. Finally the second season did what I expected from Da Capo series that I love so much. The Second Season revolve heavily on the main character, Yoshiyuki Sakurai, and there will be a lot of suprise in the series.

Not only the old character from Da Capo returning, but also the series revealed the surprising secret of Yoshiyuki.

The whole Second Season story was very tragic, but yet have a beautiful ending so I will say this anime superb for the story wise.

Character design, animation and lighting still A grade.

note: There are one paticular episode that I love in DC II SS (Da Capo II Second Season), and that is Episode 4 that somehow inspired me for my art related stuff.

Overall Rating: A (yes, finally after a pretty bad start)

Favorite Characters
Still the same with the First season minus Minatsu Amakase since she is not returning
Will upload some new image later if I can find something good.

[Anime Review] Da Capo II 1st Season

Da Capo II 1st Season

"Graphic was awesome, but not the story wise" -bezoe

The protagonist, Yoshiyuki Sakurai, was born when Sakura Yoshino, weary of being alone for so long, wished upon a prototype artificial wish-granting magical sakura tree for a family. Similar to its predecessor, the story takes place on the same island, Hatsunejima, in Japan, and set fifty-three years after the original anime. The Asakura sisters are the granddaughters of Junichi Asakura and Nemu Asakura from the first Da Capo. Sakura Yoshino and Junichi are the only returning characters, and Nemu is the only other character to be mentioned by name. (animenewsnetwork)

First of all, I will say I really disappointed with Da Capo II 1st Season. I will point out what is good first. The graphic and the animation was exceptionally superb, it's probably one of the best Harem anime graphic so far that I ever see especially the lighting..
Characters design was very well made, and whoever watch Da Capo will instantly recoqnized the characters. Plus DC Characters always be one of my favorite~
Story wise however, not as good as the graphic, the overall story feels very boring and slow. The story also feels so generic and not unique at all.

So if you are a Da Capo fans, then it is still a good series to keep on, but if not, then there are a lot of others Harem anime that you can watch first.

Overall Rating : B--

[Anime Review] Inukami + The Movie

Inukami + The Movie

"Splendid anime!" -bezoe

Inukami are demons with the apearence of a dog which protect the humans from other demons. However, Keita, a descendant of a historic Inukami-tamer family, lacked their gift, and so he was forsaken by the family. One day, an Inukami named Yoko came in to his life, and from then on, Keita's life would never be the same. Although Yoko was really beautiful, she was a problematic Inukami that no one had been able to control, and from that moment the endless train of Keita's embarrassments was without end.

This anime full of actions and also girls. Even though it is a 26 ep anime, but the action didn't slow down at all. Beside the action, the story line was super hilarious plus a lot of perverted scene. Think about City Hunter but replace Kaori with something more scarier (In a way of taming her perverted partner).

Animation wise was superb, especially the action scene. Good news for people who love a bit of Fetish Theme, and theres a lot of it!

Defenately become one of my favorite anime
Oh the OP ost pretty nice~

Inukami The Movie
Not exactly related to the series, but whoever wants to watch The Movie, I recommend to watch the series 1st, because all of the characters from the series will be in here. It has a great humor in this one. It is about Karina who died in some accident, I won't spoil too much but I really recommend you to watch it!.

Overall Rating: A

[Anime Review] Otome Wa Boku Ni Koishiteru

Otome Wa Boku Ni Koishiteru

"Simply wonderful" -bezoe

Mizuho can't believe his ears when Grandpa's will is read out. Grandpa's final wish is for Mizuho to attend the same academy as Mizuho's mother. The catch is it's an all-girls school. With the help of friend Mariya however, he gets a makeover good enough to fool everyone at the academy. (www.animenewsnetwork)

This anime instantly becomes one of my favorite. Animation, characters and story are splendid. Storyline keeps getting better from episode to another, and also highlight a lot on the other girls characters not only the main character. Animation was hilarious (especially when they turned into a SD- Super Deformed), and the characters... well a lot of girls!
Note: Ep 13 was exceptionally good (Tsunderella.. hahaha)
OP and ED ost very good (I like the ED vid..)

Very recommend to watch this one, and hopefully become one of your favorite anime as well.

Overall Rating: A

[Anime Review] Goshuu-sama Ninomiya-kun

Goshuu-sama Ninomiya-kun

"Good start, so so ending" -bezoe

Shungo is a normal high school student living in a huge house. One day, his sister Ryoko send two siblings, Mayu and Mikihiro Tsukimura, to live with him so as to help Mayu overcome her problem—androphobia, by making Mayu and Shungo share the same room and bed, and to even take baths together. To make things even worse, Reika Hojo, the student-council chair, somehow ends up becoming their maid.

I was so excited with the beginning of the anime, its feel very harem. But unfortunately I considered the ending to be to plain. Nevertheless I still say this anime is worth to watch. The girls are extremely cute, the animation pretty cool, wacky brother sister relation, and a lot of action scene that actually very good.

OP music i found it to be very addicting (to me atleast) and also I love the characteristic of the characters. Bottomline, this is a very entertaining harem anime despite of standard ending.

Overall Rating: A-- (yes.. A minus minus, because I love the characteristic of each characters)
