[Anime Review] Otome Wa Boku Ni Koishiteru

Otome Wa Boku Ni Koishiteru

"Simply wonderful" -bezoe

Mizuho can't believe his ears when Grandpa's will is read out. Grandpa's final wish is for Mizuho to attend the same academy as Mizuho's mother. The catch is it's an all-girls school. With the help of friend Mariya however, he gets a makeover good enough to fool everyone at the academy. (www.animenewsnetwork)

This anime instantly becomes one of my favorite. Animation, characters and story are splendid. Storyline keeps getting better from episode to another, and also highlight a lot on the other girls characters not only the main character. Animation was hilarious (especially when they turned into a SD- Super Deformed), and the characters... well a lot of girls!
Note: Ep 13 was exceptionally good (Tsunderella.. hahaha)
OP and ED ost very good (I like the ED vid..)

Very recommend to watch this one, and hopefully become one of your favorite anime as well.

Overall Rating: A

#1. Kana Suoin (can't find a good image -_-;;)

#2. Mariya Mikado (reminds me a character from Ef)

#3. Takako Itsukushima

#4. Yukari Kamioka

[Anime Review] DearS

DearS

"Reminds me of Chobits, but with a simpler story" -bezoe

Ikuhara Takeya is a high school student living a normal life. He is not interested in the commotion around a UFO filled with beautiful alien females that crashed on earth a year ago. The aliens, known as DearS, are deciding to take permanent residence on earth. What no one knows is that these aliens are a slave species whose sole purpose is to serve and please their masters. One day, Takeya spots a person shivering behind some bushes. This person, Ren, is one of the DearS, and after being saved by Takeya she chooses him as her master. Takeya, who doesn't know about the master-slave relationship of DearS, tries to learn Ren the normal lifestyle of the people on earth, though he constantly fears that Ren is an evil alien who's trying to brainwash him. But Ren isn't like other DearS. She is in fact malfunctioning and is being tracked down by their leader. Meanwhile, Takeya begins to learn more about DearS, and a mythical DearS relationship called “Gift” begin to develop between them. (animenewsnetwork)

As the synopsis above, it actually sums up the whole episode. The anime was very light for the story wise, but some humour/clumsy scenes actually pretty funny. Plus the teacher character actually pretty "Appealing".
Somehow the story reminds me of chobits (I won't say this is the same as Chobits, it just feels like it when I watch this anime)
Animation wise this anime just ok, characters wise its feel like from early 2000 or late 90's style (atleast that is what I think when I watched it - even though its a 2004 anime I believe)
It feels like they should release a second season because the ending feels too simple. Recommend to watch this anime even though its not perfect.

Overall Rating: B++

Favorite Characters:
#1. Ren (I'm in heaven if I have slave like this)

#2. Mitsuka Yoshimine

[Anime Review] Happiness! + OVA

Happiness! + OVA

" The story pretty standard, but the anime it self pretty fun" - bezoe

Kamizaka Haruhi having been rescued when was young by a mage, longed to be a mage herself, so she enrolled into a special school that allows regular and magic classes into two different sections. Together with her rival/best friend, Hiiragi Anri, they study together magic while she is searching for the boy that saved her years ago, to give him a Valentines' chocolate. (animenewsnetwork)

This is another anime that have a generic plot of story line, but fortunately there were a lot of fun sequence that makes this anime really enjoyable, for one example was one of the most beautiful character... was a guy... O_O;;

The main story (beside revolving around Haruhi that searching the boy who saved her) it also about a big secret that their school holds. On 2nd half of the series, there will be one girl that showed up to find out the truth, but unfortunately things gets worst when the girl get closer to find the answer.

I love the Ova very much because the story revolve around Jun who become a girl because of magic... so yes! Jun valid to become my fav character =D

Overall this is an anime that you can pass or watch. If you like magic related anime, then this one probably suits you (It actually reminds me a bit of Alice Academy, but I haven't finnish it yet..)

Overall Rating : B-

[Anime Review] Popotan

Popotan

" First half was really boring, but fortunately there were some sightings that makes it a bit enjoyable. The ending conclusion boosted the score by a bit" -bezoe

Sisters Ai, Mai, Mii, and their housekeeper android Mea inhabit in a mysterious house that transports them through time and space. Following leads obtained from dandelions (or "popotan"), the sisters attempt to locate a certain someone believed to hold the answers to their questions. Their peculiar method of transport, however, does not come without its own set of painful drawbacks... (animenewsnetwork.com)

The 1st half didn't explain about what happened in the anime, it just more like a very slow paced anime with no where to go (the storyline I mean). But on the 2nd half it starts to catch up dramaticaly, and it boosted up the score (plus a lot of nude scene).

Animation was pretty standard, graphic was pretty cute, storyline actually pretty simple if you watch it till the end, OP and ED ost pretty fun ~.
Recommend to watch it when you have spare time.

Overall Rating: B-

Favorite Characters:
#1. Mea

#2. Nono

[Anime Review] Goshuu-sama Ninomiya-kun

Goshuu-sama Ninomiya-kun

"Good start, so so ending" -bezoe

Shungo is a normal high school student living in a huge house. One day, his sister Ryoko send two siblings, Mayu and Mikihiro Tsukimura, to live with him so as to help Mayu overcome her problem—androphobia, by making Mayu and Shungo share the same room and bed, and to even take baths together. To make things even worse, Reika Hojo, the student-council chair, somehow ends up becoming their maid.

I was so excited with the beginning of the anime, its feel very harem. But unfortunately I considered the ending to be to plain. Nevertheless I still say this anime is worth to watch. The girls are extremely cute, the animation pretty cool, wacky brother sister relation, and a lot of action scene that actually very good.

OP music i found it to be very addicting (to me atleast) and also I love the characteristic of the characters. Bottomline, this is a very entertaining harem anime despite of standard ending.

Overall Rating: A-- (yes.. A minus minus, because I love the characteristic of each characters)

#2. Reika Hojo

[Anime Review] Bamboo Blade

Bamboo Blade

"A good sport-related anime, too bad it's a bit slow pace" -bezoe

Toraji Ishida is a high school kendo teacher. His friend and fellow kendo teacher makes him a bet: if Ishida can assemble a girls' kendo team that can defeat his girls' team in a practice match, he'll treat Ishida to free meals at his father's sushi restaurant for a whole year. Now Ishida must find five girls to join the team.

The synopsis above (from Animenewsnetwork.com) was only a small part of the 26 episodes of this anime. Beside trying to assemble 5 girls team the story also revolve around one of the girl (Tamaki) who lost her confidence after been defeated and make her come back.

Bamboo Blade actually a pretty solid Sport-related anime, the kendo duel scene were very enjoyable, the animation actually not bad and the overall story pretty good as well except it is a bit slow pace and I think it will be better if the anime being condense into 13 episodes.

Overall Rating: A-

Favorite Characters:
#1. Miyako Miyazaki (Miya Miya) (Dual personality? hell yeah!)

#2. Tamaki Kawazoe

[ Anime Review ] School Days + OVA

School Days + OVA

"The anime that really hit my nerves, I almost punched my monitor and scream like maniac because of the character" - Bezoe

Makoto Ito rides the train to and from school every day. However, at the beginning of his second term, he falls in love with a beautiful girl that also rides the train. Unfortunately, she barely knows of his existence. Her name is Kotonoha Katsura, and though they attend the same school, they are not in the same class. In an attempt to catch her eye, Makoto enlists the aid of a close female friend of his: Sekai Saionji. She helps him, despite the fact that she--unbeknownst to Makoto--is in love with him. Thus the three are bound in a love triangle of life changing proportions.

The graphic of School Days actually pretty normal, and some of the characters actually looks like a typical harem type girls, but after couple of episodes, I changed my mind. This anime really unique in a way. The story is very intriguing, it is full of drama, twisted storyline and a tons of heart break moment.

This is the 1st anime for the past couple years that can really hit my nerves for almost every episodes. The main reason is the F**ked up guy in the anime that flirting with all other girls, I really don't want to give some spoiler in my review because I really suggest to all of the Harem lovers to watch this anime. But carefull, don't go nuts like me =p.
Oh and it is also one of the best ending for harem that I ever seen so far.

Note: This is the most F**ked up anime (In a good way) that I ever seen so far.....
I keep saying 30 WTF atleast during the 12 episodes
and OMG atleast 10 times

Update: School Days OVA - Valentine Days

School Days Valentine Days can't be consider as a filler of the series, but it is still a very enjoyable episode. It is basically show all of the girls who fall in love to Makoto and try to give him their chocolates. Pretty refreshing OVA after the "12 intensive ep series"

Update: School Days OVA - Magical Heart Kokoro Chan

I love this OVA =D its unrelated to the main story but its still actually pretty bizarre~. This ova is about all of the main girls transform into a super heroes to fight Doctor S who turn all person in the town becoming a Zombie. It was very entertaining and hilarious in some part.

Overall Rating : A

#1. Sekai Saionji

#2. Setsuna Kiyoura

[Anime Review] Spice And Wolf

Spice And Wolf

" Good anime, but very slow pace " - Bezoe

Craft Lawrence, a 25 year old peddler travelling from town to town selling and buying various things to make a living during a period much like Europe in the Middle Ages. One night when stopped at the town of Pasroe, he finds in his wagon a 250 year old pagan wolf deity girl named Horo. She appears to be that of a 15 year old girl, except for a wolf tail and ears. She introduces herself as the town's goddess of harvest who has kept it blessed with good harvests of wheat for many years. Despite having the responsibility to watch over the town, she wants to go back to her homeland in the north called Yoitsu, she believes the people have already forsaken her anyway and that she has kept her promise to maintain the good harvests. She manages to bargain her way out of the village by making a deal with Lawrence to take her with him. As they travel, her wisdom helps increase his profits, but at the same time, her true nature draws unwanted attention from the church.

Graphic and animation wise actually pretty good. aside from the action scene which feel pretty plain. Can't say too much about the story because it doesn't interested me at all. Its revolving around trading and merchant. For the people who loves bussiness kind of anime, this one will be pretty good, and also learning the currency of each kingdoms...

It is a very slow pace 13 episodes anime..

Overall Rating : B-

Favorite Character:
#1. Horo

[Anime Review] Yumeria

Yumeria

"A twist in the story really make this anime worth to watch" -bezoe

On his 16th birthday, Tomokazu Mikuri had a realistic dream where he sees a girl battling a giant floating monstrosity. When he wakes up, he is surprised that the girl is actually sleeping next to him... Whenever he sleeps from now on, he ends up back at the dream world, and more and more people that he knows keep showing up there too. He finds out from a mysterious masked woman in the dream world named Silk that they are fighting against one named Faydoom, and he is the one who provides the powers to those girls so that they can fight these monsters. And so it goes...

Its a good and refreshing harem anime, that anyone should be able to enjoy it. But the 1st half actually a bit slow and I almost though this anime won't pass Rating B. But the 2nd half really good and things get more interesting near the end. It is like a twist inside a twist. Recommend to watch this one.

Overall Rating: A (am I too easy giving an A rating... =D)
Favorite Characters:

#1. Neito (Neneko cool version~)
